2:46 “It is essential that we all help each other”

And this podcast is super boosted with beautiful people, because we have the invitation of an energetic entrepreneur, full of hopes and dreams, just like you and even me, sometimes have been.

He carries his brand The Chicken Project and El Rancho Chickend, and Daniel mentions in this podcast the importance of not being afraid to open up a different field, creating his own business style.

4:08 “There really aren’t many options for creating a company, meaning the structure is always preconceived, so proposing new schemes will lead to many questions on the accounting side”

You’ve probably already thought, but if this is the case, do we have any recipe for planning a company? This question is answered following the experience Daniel had after analyzing how difficult it can be to adapt businesses to what social media is today:

5:15 “I’m in a Latin-Colombian market where you have to keep your feet on the ground and know where we are and know which market we are projecting to and what the characteristics of the local markets are”

And you still don’t feel confident about what Daniel tells us? Well, it’s quite reasonable to analyze in order to understand the consumption philosophies of the space you live in. At Trópico Digital we are sure he knows what he’s talking about:

5:54 “The Chickend project started 9 years ago (…) I didn’t feel comfortable participating in a search for economic benefit as the fundamental basis of the business. I believe that as entrepreneurs, we have to weigh that, to be able to have a direction of how much we need to live and how much money we want”

Dani at least suggests that if you want a life with great luxuries, it is preferable to dedicate yourself to the industrialization of products on a large scale. He, who at the beginning of his journey as an entrepreneur was in the fashion design field, started to change his course towards more gratifying experiences and what he considered even more fascinating due to the stimulus of energy and adrenaline.

He started having experiences with sports and connecting with nature, at minute 8:08 “That in me, brother, changed my perspective a lot about the objectives and goals I want to set in my project also regarding a social aspect”

Getting to know Daniel’s career a little

He started studying an economics degree which currently has allowed him to understand many economic basics to face the changes and difficulties of the market, because despite finishing a fashion design degree (4 years) in Barcelona, the president of Chicken confirms that creativity, being a quality known by many as part of these careers, was not everything to tackle the economic fronts of the 9 years of his company’s operation.

Even José from our Trópico Digital page, comments on this opportunity:

10:56 “You have to know it because otherwise, the market will eat you alive if you don’t understand your administrative, commercial, financial bases. And I would believe that it is a flaw of some entrepreneurs who, due to ignorance, come out with very good ideas but lack the basics”

And for the experience of our guest entrepreneur, he was aware of knowing and understanding the market in Barcelona, where the competition in the clothing and fashion area was really complex and decided to give himself the opportunity to go to Medellín, his home country and be like a fish in water.

Don’t fall behind, learn a little about these economic strategies with Trópico Digital.

How did living in another country contribute to Daniel’s entrepreneurship?

Daniel confirms that it took away his fear of talking to people because he had a very distinctive Spanish accent and this often made Colombians wonder where he came from

16:10 “Barcelona gave me a somewhat anti-system lifestyle”

He had the opportunity to share with various communities in Spain and confirms that these lifestyles made him a much more grateful person.

Moreover, it contributed to how the different styles of clothing they offer at the Agency would be, which you can even see here.

20:25 “I invite everyone to live life and to live off what they like, I believe it is the greatest motivation that can exist (…) Because routine and work make life a bit difficult”

Six years ago, sports made him a better version of himself

He started hiking, walking with his dog through mountains, and getting to know the wonders of nature. In this practice, Daniel developed a mindset to understand that despite all those adventures of crossing a river, entering a cave, or jumping over a log, he had a greater sense of belonging and care, becoming more observant and detail-oriented.

His adventurous side takes it as a career and feels that everything he has lived doesn’t end, he is constantly learning. And from this same inspiration that this energetic entrepreneur takes, he undertakes his second venture, offering stays in a ranch located in the mountains, allowing groups of 5 to 6 people to enjoy a wonderful peace and tranquility.
